This lady was an English singer and songwriter. She was known for her deep contralto vocals and her electric mix of musical genres including R&B, soul and jazz. She was definitely a very successful woman, thus she had receive lots of awards. Unfortunately, she died of alcohol poisoning on July 23, 2011.
