Alta Ski Resort is located outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. This resort caters to the freeskier with lots of off-piste runs to explore. With it's high altitude it is a powder skiers dream resort, Alta has an average snow fall of 514 inches (13.1 meters). But don't think that means you have to be an expert skier to enjoy Alta, with over 116 skiable runs and a 2,000 foot vertical this resort can be fun for everyone. Alta is one of only three ski resorts in America that does not allow snowboarders.
