A frame for which one or more of the following conditions apply: the frame is not properly bounded by flags; the frame does not consist of an integral number of octets prior to zero-bit insertion or following zero-bit extraction; the frame contains a frame-check sequence error (note that this condition is not recorded in the protocol abnormality log); the frame contains an incorrect address field.
