Chargaff's rules

Stipulate that in double-stranded DNA, the amount of adenine (A) equals that of thymine (T) and the amount of guanine (G) equals that of cytosine (C). Accordingly, A binds to T and G to C by hydrogen bonds, giving the DNA molecule the properties needed for replication and information storage.
