Related etymology with verb 'increase'= become bigger, higher, added, for ex. purely 'increment'=προσαύξηση, and 'rate of increment'=ποσοστό προσαύξησης, for ex. rate of increment on bill of electricity, or increment of shares of a company, to stakeholders, for e. if stakeholders get shares after delay of time, shares can include an increment, as 'earning plus', to be distributed among thet. A rate of increment, corresponds to VAT (Value Added Tax), which is an internal, domestic tax imposed on goods sold within a country, of EU for ex.Greece, France, Italy etc. in Publi Financial Law; and we also have 'unearned increment' which means υπερτίμηση' etc.
