Although I am a German citizen, and vehemently patriotic, I adore the British royals. The Windsors have a family business that brings in some money, but most of their wealth is inherited. From many centuries ago, the royals in Britain were very important, they governed the country, fought wars, wrote the rules, and took care of business. Fast forward to current days, the same clothing, robes, jewels, carriages, symbols of office, and so forth, have been passed from one monarch to the next.
