Home > Blossary: Dual
Dual means 'double' or getting/acquiring something twice. For ex. dual citizenship, when for ex. a man or woman are born in a country from parents of not same nationality, and for ex. born in the country of father, then they aquire citizenship, due nationality from birth, of this X country, while if they go to live in the country of mother for ex. they may be registered as citizens in that country officially, (usually in some countries after 12 years old), and thus get dual (double) citizenship, which means one has all legal rights in this second country, for ex. as said in this case, from nationality of one parent, (father for instance), political rights, work permit, automatically, provided one is registered as official resident of this country, and resides permanently in it. Then under these conditions and cisrcumstances, a person X as above has dual citizenship, work permit automatically, due citizenship aquired from nationality etc
