Home > Blossary: Denial
Denial is a noun and deny is the verb, means refuse to accept or admit, or confess something; for ex. he/she denied the truth at Court, did not admit he/she was guilty and have committed crime. (Criminal Court).A wit also can deny truth in court, not wanting to reveal it. Then false swearing is a penal act, and in some countries it's punished up to 5 years prison, in Penal Court, leading also to 6+ sentense, if results from this 'denial', are irreversible, thus producing legal results in the long run. For ex. someone is asked by Judge : ''Where and when was the crime committed'', and for ex. if inquestor, or before him/her prosecutor has asked someone involved in a crime, who knows the truth well, after being arrested and led to prosecutor, and possibly to inquestor, after creation of document trial in court, and report is sent to inquestor, on that very first day X, then someone who could have been found alive, after few hours, is founf next day for ex. but it's too late, then false swearing is punished with at least 6 years sentence, after also examination/autopsy by forensic doctor for false swearing, plus criminal act of fraude, and is held as co-perpetrator, actually complice of crime, then punishment can be just a little less, than the main perpetrator of crime, but in these terms he/she's held as complice by Court.
