The zebra swallowtail is from the family Papilionidae. It is a butterfly with distinctive black and white markings and elongated tails on its hindwings. The caterpillar is yellow-green with black and yellow stripes. Larvae eat pawpaw. The zebra swallowtail has a wingspan of about 2-2.75 inches (5-7 cm). The zebra swallowtail lives for about 6 months in its adult stage. It is found in the eastern part of North America from Canada to Florida, USA.
