Stephane Audran is a French film and television actress, known for her performances in award-winning movies such as Le charme discret de la bourgeoisie and Babette's Feast and in critically acclaimed films like The Big Red One and Violette Nozière. Her first major role was in Les Cousins. She has since appeared in most of Chabrol's films. Some of the more noteworthy of his films Audran has appeared in are Les Bonnes Femmes, La Femme Infidèle, Les Biches, Le Boucher, Juste Avant La Nuit and Violette Nozière. She won the Silver Bear for Best Actress at Berlin International Film Festival.
