Slackbot is a built-in robot in slack, for 2 primarily uses. 1. User setup and account information: Slackbot will talk to you when Slack needs information about you or your account. You'll encounter Slackbot shortly after you start using Slack to set up a few basic profile items. 2. A personal, private, searchable, always-accessible notepad: Slackbot is your personal, private notepad and file repository. Messages you send and files you upload to slackbot are indexed and searchable but will be visible only to you. Other than that users can use slackbot for automatic reply and program slackbot by creating new slackbot integration.
