Edison Davis is the Majority Leader of the U.S. Senate and Senator for Florida. He is a Democrat. He serves on the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Edison was previously Olivia Pope's fiancee; they lived together from 2002 to 2006; their relationship sparked back up again six years later but didn't last too long.

Edison gets removed from the Senate Intelligence Committee after President Fitzgerald Grant learns that he met up with Olivia when she was digging into NSA secrets. After being kicked off the committee he pays a visit to Olivia at her office and tells her that he's now a client of hers. And he begins to pursue Olivia again.
