German Alejandro Garmendia Aranis, (born 25 April 1990) known as HolaSoyGerman, is a Spanish YouTube comedian from Santiago, Chile. As of May 2014, his YouTube channel has over seventeen million subscribers, ranking him as one of the top subscribed YouTube channels on YouTube.

German uploaded his first YouTube video in 2011, after he was encouraged by a friend to upload the video onto YouTube. After doing so, he became more and more famous on YouTube, and was forced to quit being in the band, as he wanted to devote most of his time to making YouTube videos.
