The Jagdpanzer 38(t), later known as Hetzer, was a German light tank destroyer of the Second World War. It was intended as a replacement for the weak-armored tank destroyers Marder and Nashorn. It carried a reasonably powerful 75mm gun, it was mechanically reliable, small and easily concealed. The Hetzer was also cheap to build.
