mudbrick
Mudbrick is a brick, made from a mixture of mud, loam, sand and water mixed with a binding property such as straw or rice husks. The bricks would generally be set out to sun dry for up to 25 days. A mudbrick house became popular around the world in climates with little timber. From Punjabi, Pakistan to Western Africa mudbrick houses have been made since before 3000 BC. Mudbrick houses although not as commonly used are still being built in these climates today.
