Afrobeat is a combination of traditional Nigerian music,jazz,highlife,chunk and chanted vocals,fused with percussion and vocal styles, popularised in Africa in the 1970s.Afrobeat originated from Ghanas highlife and heavy African drumbeats and was later exported to the southern part of Nigeria in the early 1970's.
